Russia to help restore damaged facilities in Batken Region

The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to make every effort to enhance further alliances between the two countries.

On June 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev received RF Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko. The interlocutors exchanged views on the recent armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The Russian side expressed its readiness to provide every possible assistance in restoring damaged social and infrastructural facilities in Batken Region, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

They highlighted the importance of settling international disputes by peaceful means and adhering to the principle of the non-use of force in compliance with the UN Charter and other international conventions.

An exchange of views on the key aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Russia cooperation, the global and regional agenda and the implementation of agreements following the talks between Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin in Sochi took place during the meeting. 

The parties highlighted the importance of revitalising economic and humanitarian cooperation through resuming air, road and rail services between the two countries.
