The spectacular cultural and entertainment show titled “Children are Our Future” took place at the children’s park in Dushanbe to mark the International Day for Protection of Children. Various entertainment quizzes, contests and shows were organised for children. The event brought together over 1,500 children and adolescents, the press office of the City Hall reported.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Muini Mavsuma Muinzoda congratulated all children on the international holiday on behalf of the Mayor, quoting the President of Tajikistan that children were like flowers of life, and ever-increasing priority must be given to raising these saplings of human nature and the future of society.
The park was transformed during celebrations to embody the joy of children. Little musicians played musical instruments, and the roads and footpaths in the park were decorated with children’s drawings and greetings. Children competed in various sports, including chess, checkers, tennis and mini-football, and took part in brain games and reading and drawing contests. All children received prizes and letters of commendation.
The festive events concluded with the entertainment show titled “Children are Our World”. Little artists from the children’s art centres and children’s ensembles performed in the show at the amphitheatre.
