Kazakhstan has received 2.3 million vaccine doses, and a consignment of the same quantity is to arrive by the end of May.
On May 24, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov. The high-ranking official reported on the current epidemic situation in the country, the measures taken to address social issues and the work done by the Land Commission, the website of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Reporting on the measures taken to end the coronavirus pandemic and conduct the vaccination campaign, Tugzhanov said Kazakhstan had received 2.3 million vaccine doses, and a consignment of the same quantity was to arrive by the end of May. The domestic production of the QazVac vaccine is to reach half a million doses in July.
The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the progress in implementing the Ashug Project. As of today, the app has reached 1.5 million users throughout the country, and 7,000 small and medium-sized businesses are participating in the project. This idea has revitalised the activities of local entrepreneurs and helped identify over 2,500 people infected with the coronavirus and disclose almost the same number of breaches of coronavirus laws. The President positively evaluated the work being done in this field.
Tugzhanov said the Land Commission had worked out 121 issues and submitted the draft law with additions to the Parliament for consideration.
Commenting on the report, the President gave specific instructions for promoting science, education, healthcare, culture and social sphere.
