Kyrgyzstan considers inviting Finnish companies to invest in national economy

The Kyrgyz side invited a Finnish delegation to participate in the 1st EU-CA Economic Forum, which would take place in Bishkek in October.

On May 17, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nurzhan Bardinova had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Kyrgyzstan Soili Mäkeläinen-Buhanist. The parties discussed the possibility of inviting Finnish companies to invest in the national economy. The Kyrgyz politician also invited the guest to attend the 1st EU-CA Economic Forum, which would take place in Bishkek in October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports on its website.

Discussing the issues relating to the promotion of mutually beneficial partnerships, the parties highlighted the need to intensify bilateral political cooperation, hold inter-ministerial consultations and exchange top-level visits.

The emphasis was placed on the possibility of establishing further trade and economic relations. The parties also discussed the possibility of holding the Kyrgyzstan-Finland business forum and the prospects for interactions within the KR GSP + status and partnerships for green economy.

The interlocutors considered the aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Finland interactions within the major international organisations.
