Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan donate salary for affected people in Batken

The Government members will donate one day’s salary to help the affected people in the border areas.

On April 30, the Government of Kyrgyzstan informed that the cabinet ministers would contribute one day’s salary for the people in Batken Region affected by the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The decision to help the affected people by contributing one day’s salary was made in view of the events, which not only had resulted in heavy material damage, but also claimed the lives of many people.

The Government opened a special bank account so that legal entities and individuals could transfer funds on a voluntary basis to help the people affected by the conflict.

Over the past day, many citizens of Kyrgyzstan have expressed a desire to travel to the border area and provide all possible assistance in resolving the conflict.

As is reported, the situation has settled down, and no volunteers need to be sent to the border area.
