These payments will be funded from the Republican Budget to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President.

On April 20, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Decree “On the Incentives for World War II Participants”, authorising to award 12 million soums, which is 2 million more than in 2020, to war veterans in a solemn ceremony. The President instructed that these payments, relating to implementation of the Decree, would be funded from the Republican Budget, the UzA News Agency reported.

Together with a monetary gift, Great Patriotic War veterans and people with disabilities will receive free vouchers for travel and accommodation at health resorts in Uzbekistan.

The caregiving network has been created in the country, involving health workers to provide necessary care and timely medical and social assistance to every war veteran on a continuous basis.

Festive meetings, cultural and social actions honouring the defenders of the Motherland will be held in strict compliance with quarantine requirements.

Uzbekistan takes consistent measures to support and provide benefits to war veterans.
