Tokayev appoints new ambassadors to Kyrgyzstan, India and Belgium

Margulan Baymukhan was appointed the head of a diplomatic representation in the Kingdom of Belgium and Representative of Kazakhstan to the European Union and NATO.

On April 19, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev signed the decrees appointing the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, India and Belgium, the press office of Akorda reported.

Rapil Zhoshybayev was appointed Ambassador to neighbouring Kyrgyzstan. Previously, he had occupied the positions of Head the International Centre for Green Technologies and Investment Projects NJSC and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The President appointed Nurlan Zhalgasbayev Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India. Previously, the diplomat had worked as Director of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Margulan Baymukhan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Representative of Kazakhstan to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The diplomat has a solid career history, including experience as ambassador. Previously, he had worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland.
