Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Hungary sign cooperation programme

Muhriddin and Szijjarto discussed the plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2022.

On April 7, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto arrived in Dushanbe for an official visit. He had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin. The parties signed the cooperation programme between the diplomatic departments for 2022-2024, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.

The delegations of Tajikistan and Hungary held political consultations. The officials agreed to expand relations in the spheres of politics, economics, ecology, tourism, science, culture, medicine and sports.

The meeting agenda included the preparations for the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Next year’s celebrations include science conferences and cultural events. It was noted that the office of the Honorary Consul of Hungary opened in Dushanbe the day before.

The parties paid particular attention to Tajikistan-EU interactions. In the morning of the same day, the business forum involving entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and Hungary took place in the capital of the Republic.
