World Bank helps Kyrgyzstan purchase 25,000 computers for schools

Novikov assured that the Government would not delay the implementation of joint projects.

On March 26, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artyom Novikov had a meeting with World Bank Country Manager Naveed Naqvi. The parties discussed the progress of implementing the joint projects in healthcare, agriculture, emergency management, ecology, education and social protection, the press office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

It was noted that the World Bank was a reliable partner to the Government in the implementation of joint projects.

The World Bank Country Manager informed that 25,000 computers would be distributed among 1,200 schools throughout the country in the near future under the Kyrgyzstan-World Bank joint projects.

Deputy Prime Minister assured that the Government would not delay the implementation of joint projects.

It is noted that proposals and projects aimed at restoring business activity in the Kyrgyz Republic with the possible World Bank participation would be developed as well.
