Jahongir Artykhojaev and Mayor of the capital of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali discussed further cultural and infrastructure contacts.
On 23 March, Head of Tashkent City Administration Jahongir Artykhojaev arrived in Dushanbe for an official visit. He had a meeting with Mayor of the capital of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali and discussed the approaches to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the cities, the press office of the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office reported.
The high-ranking officials expressed satisfaction with the level of Tajikistan-Uzbekistan relations, noting that positive results had been achieved through the efforts of the leaders of the two states Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Particular attention was paid to facilitating synergies between Dushanbe and Tashkent in the cultural and humanitarian spheres and the infrastructure sector. The Mayor of the capital of Uzbekistan visited the Siyoma plant for soft and alcoholic drinks. He highly evaluated the quality of products and expressed his interest in the achievements of Dushanbe over the years of independence.
As was reported, Rustam Emomali paid an official visit to Tashkent in December 2019. During the visit, the leader of Tajikistan and Artykhojaev discussed the promotion of economic and cultural contacts.
