Government of Kazakhstan to further support business

The Government will expand access to credit and reduce business fiscal and regulatory burden on the private sector.

On March 18, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting of the project headquarters to discuss the issues relating to private sector development, the press office of the Government of Kazakhstan reported.

Commenting on the reports presented by the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the relevant state bodies and institutions to develop the strategy of additional business support measures. In this regard, the Prime Minister set the tasks of expanding access to credit and reducing   business fiscal and regulatory burden on entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

The producers in Kazakhstan will work towards their potential involvement in government procurements and mining procurements of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. The necessary measures will be taken to modernise the subsidy system in the agro-industrial sector reflecting the ratio between agricultural production and agricultural processing in the regions and facilitate the methods of financing agricultural producers.

The Prime Minister noted that the Government aimed to create an enabling business environment and promptly solve the urgent problems of entrepreneurs. The participants reported that over 700 billion tenge would be allocated to support self-employment under the national programmes Economy of Simple Things, DKB – 2025 and Enbek and the National Bank’s concept of lending in 2021.
