President of Turkmenistan noted that the organization of new administrative center of the region should be based on intelligent systems.
On March 16, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Ahal province. The leader of the country inspected the construction of a «smart city» — a new administrative center of the region, built on the territory of Geoktepe etrap, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
First of all, Berdimuhamedov visited the place where the children’s center will be located. It will have all the conditions for an interesting and useful pastime for young citizens.
The President got acquainted with the general plan of the new city. According to the document, the Rukhyet Palace for 3 thousand seats, the provincial drama theater, the state circus, the International Higher School of Horse Breeding and the corresponding Research and Production Center will be built in the administrative center of the Ahal province.
In addition, numerous medical institutions will be located on the territory of the city. These are a multidisciplinary hospital for 360 beds, a children’s health and rehabilitation center. There will be many sports facilities in the village. It includes a 10 thousand-seat stadium, a water complex.
The President noted the importance of using «green» technologies in the city in order to preserve the beauty of the Kopetdag foothills because its area is occupied by the administrative center. According to the leader of the country, the organization of urban space should be self-sufficient and be based on intelligent systems. Berdimuhamedov said that it would be a smart city.
As part of a working meeting held after the inspection of the construction, the head of the state directed to work out issues related to the use of electric vehicles, «smart» vehicle fleets, waste bins, solar panels and wind generators in the city.
It must be added that the implementation of the ambitious project started in April 2019. At the moment, over 15 thousand specialists take part in the corresponding work.
