Uzbekistan to withdraw claims on disputed territory of Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan expressed its readiness to operate flights to Sokh, an exclave of Uzbekistan, located on its territory.

Press Secretary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Galina Baiterek reported on outcomes of the Kyrgyz leader’s state visit to Uzbekistan on March 11-12. The Kyrgyzstan had expressed its readiness to operate transport services and flights to Sokh, an exclave of Uzbekistan, located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Residents of the exclave can freely cross the border, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

Uzbekistan ready to withdraw its claims on the territory of Unkur-Too that used to be in dispute between residents of the border settlements.

According to Bayterek, the special commission that has conducted numerous meetings with its Uzbek colleagues will take decisions on the remaining controversial issues regarding the delimitation of state borders.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his readiness for serious and large-scale cooperation with Kyrgyzstan across the whole spectrum.

As was reported, 20 ambulances were donated to Kyrgyzstan through the Ministry of Health.

Negotiations on the production and delivery of vaccines, medicines and other medical and pharmaceutical products are underway.
