The decision was announced at the seminar on the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan On the Measures for Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2020-2023.
The seminar, held at the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the initiative of the Committee on the development of the Aral Sea region of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, focused on the fulfilment of the tasks set forth in the Resolution of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev On the Measures for Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2020-2023. It was announced at the forum that 3 trillion soums would be allocated to implement these measures in mahallas and auls, the press office of the Oliy Majlis reported.
Chairman of the Committee on the development of the Aral Sea region of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Boriy Alikhonov said the Resolution played an important role in enhancing the economic potential and improving living standards in towns and districts, mahallas and auls.
The participants emphasised that the Resolution set forth the measures for raising the people’s standard of living in 45 mahallas and villages and developing the territories in 20 areas.
The necessary measures are being implemented in mahallas, including gravel driveway construction, reconstruction of bridges and heat, electricity and gas supply systems, repair and installation of transformers and replacement of wooden poles with concrete ones.
The participants also highlighted the need to promote on-going measures in mahallas and among citizens, increase parliamentary scrutiny and intensify the work of parliamentarians of city Kengashes of people’s deputies in the regions, which were in difficult social and economic conditions.
