Representatives of the Council of National Coordinators discussed a plan of major events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
On January 26-29, Dushanbe hosted the 1st Meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization chaired by Tajikistan. The delegates discussed a number of documents and draft agenda submitted for signature, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
They paid particular attention to the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, which would be held in the capital of the Republic on September 16-17. The discussions focused on the plan of major events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2021.
The officials approved the programme of cooperation among foreign ministers of the SCO Member States in 2021. An exchange of views on a new rotation cycle of the heads of the SCO permanent bodies in 2021 took place during the meeting.
The Council of National Coordinators is mainly responsible for promoting cooperation among government agencies of the SCO Member States. This year, the Republic of Tajikistan is chairing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
