Tajikistan and Uzbekistan resume regular flights

Somon Air and Ozbekiston Havo Yollari will run flights on Wednesday and Friday.

The authorities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan agreed to resume regular flights. Somon Air and Ozbekiston Havo Yollari will run direct flights twice a week, the Khovar State News Agency reported on January 15.

In accordance with the agreement between the governments of the two countries, direct flights will operate between Dushanbe and Tashkent on Wednesday and Friday. Ozbekiston Havo Yollari will run flights in the first half of the week, and Somon Air – in the second half of the week.

According to Somon Air, it is still uncertain when regular flying resumes. Ozbekiston Havo Yollari informs its website visitors about the Tashkent-Dushanbe flight on January 20. It says that all tickets are sold out.

To be permitted to board the aircraft, a passenger must present a valid negative COVID-19 test result. Test must have been conducted less than 72 hours prior to arrival at the airport. If a passenger shows any symptoms, including fever, he will not be   allowed to travel even if he has a valid negative COVID-19 test result.
