Prime Minister of Kazakhstan attends opening ceremony of Central Asia’s largest poultry factory

Following its modernisation, the Makinsk poultry factory is the largest enterprise in the region.

On December 23, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin made a working trip to Akmola region. He visited Makinsk town to attend the commissioning ceremony of the 2nd stage of the Makinsk poultry factory that became the largest enterprise in Central Asia following its modernisation, the press department of the Government reported.

It should be noted that modern technological solutions enable the Makinsk poultry factory to reach an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of poultry meat. Such an output volume allowed meeting 22% of domestic needs and reducing poultry meat imports to 33%. Moreover, the modernized enterprise created 1,370 new jobs.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers was informed that the Makinsk poultry factory was one of the major investment projects in the Republic. 49 billion tenge was invested to build the facility. The factory is affiliated with the Aitas Holding. In accordance with the strategic development plan of the Aitas group for the period until 2030, the output volume will be sextupled to 350,000 tons per year, while investments will reach about 350 billion.

Askar Mamin noted that the goal to flood the domestic market with locally produced food products, including poultry meat by 2024 was set to food producers in Kazakhstan.
