On December 19, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Elvira Surabaldiyeva paid an official visit to the Issyk-Kul region. She got acquainted with the conditions of regional hospitals and also held a meeting with employees of medical institutions. The event was dedicated to the issues in the field of health care and the epidemiological situation in the region, as reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz government.
During the working trip, Surabaldiyeva took part in the opening of the reconstructed infectious diseases department of the territorial hospital in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region.
The infectious diseases department was built in 1986. About 22 million soms were allocated for the repair of the institution from the republican budget. The department has the necessary inventory, medical equipment.
Moreover, the Deputy Prime Minister met with doctors and residents. Some of them were awarded certificates of honor and letters of gratitude from the plenipotentiary representative of the government of the Issyk-Kul region.
