Muhammadjon Husseinov became the first citizen of the republic to receive this award.
The paramedic at the Istiklol hospital in Dushanbe, a student of the Tajik State Medical University, Muhammadjon Huseynov, was awarded the medal «For the fight against the pandemic» of the All-Russian public veteran’s organization «Combat Brotherhood». It was reported by the state news agency «Khovar» on December 4.
The award ceremony was held at the university with the participation of a representative of the organization on the territory of the 201st military base of the Russian Federation in the republic, Saidakhmad Davlatov. Huseynov became the first Tajik citizen to be awarded the relevant medal.
The young paramedic became famous after his video message, published in early May. He thanked all the doctors who bravely fight against the COVID-19. In addition, he criticized those who left work and sick patients on difficult days.
Later, in August, President Emomali Rahmon, as part of a meeting with representative of the healthcare system, found the young paramedic in the hall and invited him to the stage. Then Huseynov was awarded the «Mercy» medal. The head of the state also instructed officials to ensure that the student is provided with good apartments at the dormitory and work.
