Turkmen agency «Türkmenawtoulaglary» intends to expand cooperation with the Japanese trading company «Sumitomo Corporation». The main attention will be paid to the development of partnership in the transport sector. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by «Turkmenistan today» on May 14.
The event was held by video conference. The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening relations in the logistics sector within the framework of the transport and transit center of Turkmenistan along the North-South and West-East routes. Particular importance was attached to expanding ties as a part of the Open-Door policy, carried out by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Representatives of the Japanese company noted that the Turkmen market has great potential. They underlined that in this area all the necessary opportunities for the productive work of foreign entrepreneurs have been provided. In this regard, the businessmen expressed readiness to expand the relevant cooperation on this trading platform.
It must be reminded that «Sumitomo Corporation» is one of the largest wholesale trading structures in Japan. The company is represented in 65 countries. It is engaged in product development (together with manufacturers) and investments in production and trade.
