Freight transportation between Kazakhstan and Turkey simplified

On May 6, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev signed the law on the ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey on international combined goods transport. This step is an important event for the two countries, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

Members of Mazhilis of Kazakhstan have endorsed the Agreement. Minister of Transport of the Republic Marat Karabaev noted that this Agreement is aimed at improving road, rail and water transport infrastructures.

The ratification of the agreement should contribute to boosting the transit transport potential and trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as increase road, rail and sea freight traffic. The document envisages providing communication and transit services.
