Turkmenistan and UK sign documents on partnerships

On April 23, a package of bilateral documents on cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UK was signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Cameron, who arrived in Ashgabat for a visit, took part in the ceremony, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties signed the following documents:

— Cooperation Programme between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for 2024-2025;

— Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the Blue Marine Foundation on the protection of biological diversity and environment, and assistance in biodiversity and environmental conservation in the Caspian Sea;

— Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Dialogue Events Ltd. (UK).

The parties expressed belief that the signing of bilateral documents will contribute to strengthening Turkmenistan-UK partnerships in a number of areas.
