President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Senator Steve Daines from Montana, who is on a working visit in Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The talks focused on strengthening bilateral political and economic cooperation and promising projects in the energy, transport, mining and agricultural sectors. The interlocutors discussed improving interaction between Kyrgyzstan and the United States on international and regional issues, including the fight against international terrorism.
President Japarov noted the importance of fostering dialogue with the United States as a priority aspect of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy. He expressed belief that the Senator’s visit will be successful and contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.
Senator Daines expressed gratitude for an opportunity to discuss Kyrgyzstan-US partnerships. He highlighted the strategic role of Central Asia and the importance of maintaining stability and security in the region.
