Russia and Tajikistan train specialists to prevent extremism

The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Tajikistan entered into an agreement on a joint professional development programme aimed at preventing recruitment of young people by extremist and terrorist organisations. This statement was made by Vice-Rector of RANEPA Andrey Margolin, TASS writes.

The idea of the programme is to counter terrorism at the earliest stage and create conditions conducive to preventing terrorism in all forms at the grassroot level.

Margolin emphasised that RANEPA has successfully implemented similar programmes not only in Russia, but also in the Central Asia states.

The training course under this programme will start in May this year. The first group will consist of 30 students. Candidates are selected by the Agency of Civil Service under the President of Tajikistan.
