President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Muruvvat boarding school 1 for children with disabilities. He noted that the establishment of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President that provides quality services to citizens of the country has made it possible to significantly improve the quality of life of the boarding school children, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
Over the past five years, the Government has more than tripled funding to such institutions as Muruvwat, which has made it possible to improve the living conditions of children and increase the number of employees. Particular attention is paid to providing medical services and supplying medicines and medical devices.
The President visited the classrooms where the school children were having classes and promised that their living and learning conditions would be improved. He announced a new approach to working with children with disabilities, including the creation of individual development programmes and «support clubs» for parents.
«Thank you very much for keeping the children in your good hands. This is a very difficult, but at the same time necessary and noble work,» Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
