President of Turkmenistan chairs Security Council meeting

On March 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov led a meeting of the Security Council on the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in January-February, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.

The heads of the military and law enforcement agencies informed the President in detail about the issues related to defence capability, national security, border control and security, public order, the judicial system, customs, migration and justice. They reported on the ongoing work to introduce digital technologies at military and law enforcement departments, prevent crimes, ensure fire safety compliance and improve public legal education.

Berdimuhamedov noted that the priority objectives of the Turkmen state are to ensure and improve the social and living conditions of military servants and their families. The President emphasised the importance of strengthening the material and technical base and improving professional skills of law enforcement officers in compliance with best practices. The President said the work towards these objectives will continue.
