Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia and World Aquatics President Husain Al-Musallam and President of the Asian Cycling Confederation Osama Al Shafar made an official visit to Tashkent to see and monitor the progress of preparations for the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Tashkent, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported.
Minister of Sports of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov met with the distinguished guests to discuss the aspects of the upcoming major sporting event. The guests visited the construction site of the Olympic Village. Ikramov emphasised that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is leading the construction project of the sports facility. The Minister noted that the authorities of Uzbekistan are paying great attention to the preparations for the upcoming sporting event.
Husain Al-Musallam provided recommendations on anti-doping issues and highlighted the importance of stuffing sports facilities with modern equipment. He expressed belief that the construction of new sports facilities in Uzbekistan will allow introducing new sports talents from Asia to the world.
