Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali signed the document on the declaration of 2024 the Year of Environmental Education, Sputnik reports.
The initiative is aimed at raising environmental awareness of citizens. As part of this activity, actions will be held to maintain cleanliness and ensure environmental safety.
900 days of urban beautification activities, including flower and tree planting, are to be conducted in Dushanbe to mark the 35th anniversary of state independence. The officials and heads of city districts are responsible for conducting these activities. These activities are aimed at protecting the environment from harmful impacts and ensuring environmental safety.
Earlier, environmental management measures, including tree planting and closures of polluting enterprises, have been taken in Dushanbe. The transition to eco-friendly transport: e-cars and e-buses is underway.
