On February 28, a conference on the outcomes of the meeting of the Presidium of Halk Maslahaty took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IMO MFA). Members of public organisations and university lecturers and students attended the event, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
The participants discussed fulfilling the key tasks of the Social and Economic Development and Investment Programme for 2024. They also paid attention to the Work and Activity Plan that covers the main areas of activity of Halk Maslahaty.
The participants focused on achieving the current objectives of Turkmen diplomacy in such areas as energy, transport, ecology, cybersecurity, digitalization, gender equality and youth policy.
The agenda covered the initiatives put forward by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, among which the proposal to develop a global security strategy is of special importance.
