Russia and Uzbekistan set to develop transport and chemical industry

On February 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin during his visit to Kazan. The meeting focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the chemical, transport and pharmaceutical industries. Particular attention was paid to developing efficient transport routes and intensifying cooperation in the railway sector, the press office of the President of the Republic reported.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Vladimir Putin on the success of the first International Games of the Future in Russia that combine classical sports and e-sports. The interlocutors discussed current issues, including the implementation of the agreements reached during the talks in October 2023.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral cooperation. They noted the successful implementation of joint projects in the chemical, pharmaceutical, energy and industrial sectors, as well trade growth.
