On February 20, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted the letters of credence from new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and wished every success in her diplomatic activities.
The diplomat conveyed the greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan from President of India Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted dynamic and progressive relationship between the two states and the deep historical roots connecting the peoples of Turkmenistan and India.
The countries continue to enhance cooperation in the fuel and energy, transport, agricultural and textile sectors. The interlocutors noted the importance of the implementation of the regional energy projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.
The most dynamically developing areas of Turkmenistan-India partnerships are science, education and culture.
As was reproted, on February 15, new Ambassador of India Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat presented her letters of credence to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. The interlocutors discussed the state and prospects of political, diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
