Give Books with Love! campaign in Kazakhstan

On February 15, the Russian House in Astana celebrated World Book Day with the themed events, Rossotrudnichestvo reports on the Telegram channel.

On the eve of the significant date, a group of volunteers collected books. They collected several hundred volumes in the Russian and Kazakh languages, paying tribute in this way to the Year of Volunteering in the CIS Member States. The books were collected for the annual Give Books with Love! campaign and donated to schools and libraries.

According to the Russian House in Astana, headed by Olga Filonova, the festive events with literary quests to the accompaniment of Jony’s hit «Comet» containing Pushkin’s lines took place at the Polytechnic College and public library 12.

Books are donated on a regular basis. In November, books replenished the collections of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the library of Kanysh Satpayev KazNTU, and the Russian House in Ust-Kamenogorsk donated books to the East Kazakhstan University.
