On February 14, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Security Council on the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in January 2024, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Berdimuhamedov dwelt on the tasks associated with defence capability, national security, border protection, public order, the judicial system, customs, migration and justice. The President emphasised the importance of working further to introduce digital technologies at law enforcement agencies, prevent crimes, ensure compliance with fire safety requirements and coordinate effective measures to improve legal literacy of citizens.
The President emphasised that one of the priority tasks is to improve social and living conditions of military servants. Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of strengthening the material and technical base and using best practices to improve professional skills of law enforcement officers.
The President said Turkmenistan is committed to the legal status of permanent neutrality and maintains friendly, good neighbourly relations with all states and nations of the world.
