President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev held a meeting to discuss important aspects of bilateral relations, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported the details.
The interlocutors emphasised the importance of fostering political dialogue and building mutual trust. Special attention was paid to the border demarcation and delimitation issue. Rahmon said the parties were able to reach agreement on the longest section of the border over the past 4 months.
The President of Tajikistan noted that he considers it important to keep working to resolve border issues. The meeting provided a platform for discussion of the joint use of transboundary water resources and the expansion trade, economic, interparliamentary and other relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
