On February 4, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev arrived in Dushanbe. The official visit took place at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Sputnik Tajikistan reports.
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are seeking to set guidelines for friendly relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin said. A meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubayev in Dushanbe provided the platform for this statement. Mukhriddin emphasised that they will discuss a wide range of aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Enhancing relations with neighbouring countries that have a common border is a foreign policy priority of Tajikistan, he said.
Kulubayev will meet with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and hold talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan on current aspects of relations between the two countries during the visit.
