Authorities of Kazakhstan to spend 3.8 billion tenge to enhance veterinary services

The Government of Kazakhstan has allocated about 4 billion tenge from its reserves to enhance veterinary service in the country. In particular, government funds will be used to equip veterinary laboratories with high-precision equipment such as a liquid chromatograph, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

According to the Government, the use of high-tech laboratory equipment will ensure the accuracy and reliability of veterinary research, which will help ensure food safety.

For example, the use of a high-performance liquid chromatograph makes it possible to detect trace amounts of harmful substances in food. This is of great importance for protecting the people’s health against dangerous foodborne infections.

Moreover, modern equipment will help livestock producers in Kazakhstan improve the quality of their products for the international market, and the authorities of Kazakhstan will be able to quickly respond and protect the domestic market against dangerous zoonotic diseases in case of violations of veterinary regulations by foreign suppliers.
