On January 29, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Hao Mingjin discussed promoting bilateral partnerships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan: Golden Age e-Newspaper reported.
The members of the Chinese delegation learned about the structure and activities of Turkmen Parliament during the visit to Mejlis. Hao Mingjin noted the constructive nature of Turkmenistan-China cooperation, including at the inter-parliamentary level.
The participants of the meeting discussed further enhancing political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The parties highly evaluated the participation of National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which was held in Beijing in October last year.
Turkmenistan and China have established strong cooperation in education. Every year, the PRC receives Turkmen students who want to get higher education at Chinese universities. The Chinese language is studied in a number of schools and universities in Turkmenistan.
The parties emphasised once again their mutual willingness to promote multifaceted cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
