President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated citizens of the country on Defender of the Fatherland Day. The President noted that the holiday symbolises profound trust, high respect and boundless care for military servants who defend sacred independence of the Motherland, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
«Our Fatherland is a country of courageous people! You are faithful sons of your homeland. Your sacred duty is to adhere strictly to the goals and principles of the Military Doctrine, based on the foreign policy of the Turkmen state, aimed at strengthening peace and security, the legal status of neutrality and ensuring security and integrity of state borders,» Berdimuhamedov said.
The President said the main goals should always be the protection of sacred independence of the Motherland, the legal status of permanent neutrality, the constitutional system and age-old national values and the further strengthening of law and order in society. Military servants must make a significant contribution to the dynamic development of the country, always following such lofty principles of their ancestors as justice, wisdom, perseverance, courage, fearlessness and patriotism.
«Brave sons are the bulwark of the Fatherland! I am confident that you will be faithful to the high and responsible duty of defending independence of Turkmenistan, its legal status of permanent neutrality, recognized by the world community, national values, peace and cohesion in society, and, if necessary, you will not spare your lives to defend these sacred ideals,» Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised.
