President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee Huang Kunming in Shenzhen during his state visit to China. The meeting took place as part of the Investment Forum that had brought together over 600 representatives of Chinese businesses and officials from the two countries, the press office of the President of the Republic reported.
Mirziyoyev emphasised the dynamic development of partnerships between Uzbekistan and China, in particular in the economic sector. He expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting with PRC President Xi Jinping, noting that the parties agreed to support and facilitate business activity in the two countries.
He said the two countries will sign a Joint Statement, setting a new standard in Uzbekistan-China partnerships. The President expressed hope that this document will help intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
