On January 18, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received IRI Petroleum Minister Javad Owji. The interlocutors focused on bilateral interaction in the oil and gas sector, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
«I believe that the exchange of views among oil and gas specialists will be useful for finding new forms and methods of cooperation and implementing them in practice,» Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
The President added that the Turkmen side is ready to consider all proposals and initiatives made Iranian partners in this sector. Berdimuhamedov noted that interstate relations, built on mutual respect and understanding, are successfully developing both in a bilateral format and within international organisations.
The President said this is facilitated by working visits of government delegations of the two countries at different levels, ongoing consultations and talks, fruitful contacts in trade, energy, transport, communications, construction and agriculture and enhanced relations among businessmen of the two countries. In conclusion, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Javad Owji expressed belief that the constructive interstate dialogue will develop further.
