It is planned to build another hydropower plant in Izbaskan district of Andijan Region of Uzbekistan. The project will be implemented in accordance with the agreements with China, the press office of the Andijan Region Administration reported to CentralAsia.news.
The project is currently at the preliminary study stage. Earlier, the construction of a hydropower plan jointly with Chinese partners has been launched in Izbaskan district of this region.
The new hydropower plant will have the estimated capacity of 3.2 MW. The regional authorities are planning to use this energy facility to meet electricity demand of one-third of the territory of the region.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the solemn ceremony of commissioning and connecting 5 solar and 1 wind power plants, located in six different regions of the Republic, to the power grid.
