President of Uzbekistan holds expanded Security Council meeting

On January 12, the Security Council held an expanded meeting in Tashkent. The meeting, led by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focused on the work done by the Armed Forces and the military and administrative department in 2023 and the tasks for the near future, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

Mirziyoyev criticized the ministries, departments and local government bodies for the work done and instructed to reform the military-patriotic education system.

The President of Uzbekistan highlighted the importance of involving young people in ongoing reforms in the country and facilitating the realization of their intellectual and creative potential. He noted that every citizen must be a true patriot of the Motherland and bring up their young people in this spirit in the context of globalization and the struggle for the minds and hearts of people.
