Bishkek hosted an exhibition of Chinese culture «Journey along the Silk Road and the Path of Culture of Unity». It featured the stone, wooden and paper-carving works made by Chinese masters. The event was held as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Vecherniy Bishkek Publishing House reports.
The guests of the exhibition included Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baysalov, Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of China in Kyrgyzstan LI Baojie and the representatives of educational institutions and business companies from the two countries.
«In his speech, Edil Baisalov noted that the Belt and Road Initiative is transforming the region, including Kyrgyzstan, and has a huge impact on the political and economic situation all over the world,» the publication quoted the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, LI Baojie said the Belt and Road Initiative has become an important platform for international cooperation over the past 10 years. He emphasised that cultural interaction and exchange are a key aspect of the Initiative.
