Kyrgyzstan has spent 584 million soms on one-time child allowances

In 2023, more than 146,000 children in Kyrgyzstan received a one-time child allowance «balaga suyunchu», the press office of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan, headed by Gulnara Baatyrova, reported.

584 million soms from the Republican budget were allocated for child allowances. The amount of the allowance is 4,000 soms per child, and 50,000 soms are paid for each child if three or more children are born at the same birth. 28 triplets were born last year, and 1.4 million soms in child allowances were paid.

In 2023, the funding for «balaga suyunch» increased by 61.2 million soms compared to 2022.

To apply for a one-time allowance, citizens must submit an application within 6 months from the date of birth of the child to the public service centre or civil registration authority and receive an allowance through the cash desk of any branch of RSK and Aiyl Bank no later than 6 months from the date of application.
