President of Uzbekistan extends zero import tariffs on certain goods

In Uzbekistan, zero import tariffs on a number of goods, including cheese, cottage cheese, flour, cereals, chocolate and cocoa- containing products, were extended until January 1, 2025, the Norma portal reports.

Zero import tariffs will also apply to fresh, chilled or frozen meat and poultry by-products, as well as sunflower, safflower and cottonseed oil and their fractions from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

The complete list of goods can be found in the Decrees of the President of Uzbekistan On additional measures to ensure price stability in consumer markets and increase the effectiveness of antimonopoly measures and On additional measures to ensure price stability in consumer markets. These goods also include fish, tea, coffee, baker’s yeast, starch, inulin, hair care products, children’s clothing and children’s clothing accessories.
