President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulated his compatriots on the New Year. The speech was heard, including on the Independence Square in Dushanbe, where thousands of citizens of the Republic had gathered, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
In his speech, Rahmon noted that 2023 was a memorable and historic year for Tajikistan. He also commented on the outcomes of the past year, highlighting the accomplishments and achievements, including construction works that hit record high. Of 28,000 facilities planned to be built, 10,500 industrial and social facilities and buildings were put into operation, which account for 37 percent of the plan.
Rahmon called on citizens of Tajikistan to spare no effort to strengthen state independence, honour national values, develop self-knowledge and self-awareness and enhance the international status of the country in 2024 and in subsequent years.
