A new building of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly school-lyceum opened in Astana. The representatives of the board of trustees, teaching staff, parents and schoolchildren took part in the ceremony, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
The opening of the new building 53 allowed solving the problem of overcrowded classrooms and relieved the school of the three-shift operation. The school has been operating in this mode for about 3 years, which caused certain difficulties.
The new building has the capacity to train 950 children in two shifts. The building houses 90 classrooms, each of which has modern equipment and a comfortable learning environment. The building houses 2 gyms, 2 canteens, a medical room and the classrooms in chemistry, biology, computer science and physics. The sports grounds for basketball, volleyball and football in the yard were refurbished.
«In 2024-2025, 24 comfortable schools for about 90,000 children will be built. It is planned to build about 80 schools with about 200,000 places (in 2 shifts) by 2027,» Head of the Astana Department of Education Kasymkhan Sengaziyev said.
