Government to fund 8 student start-ups in Kyrgyzstan

The results of the Student Start-up competition, which 158 students from 21 universities and 3 colleges had applied to, were announced in Kyrgyzstan. The winners will receive 3 million soms, the press office of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic Edil Baisalov noted that new projects developed by students are very important for economic development of the Republic. Along with funding, the Government undertakes to support projects and ensure successful project implementation.

The finalists include 8 start-ups in such fields as information and digital technology, medical technology, biotechnology, agricultural technology, green economy and creative industry. 3.160,744 soms will be earmarked from the republican budget to support these projects.
