On December 15, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahalliyev reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the progress of seasonal agricultural works in the regions during the government meeting, the Turkmenistan: Today National News Agency reports.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that farmers are engaged in taking care of wheat fields in compliance with agrotechnical standards. In particular, farmers are applying mineral fertilizers and conducting vegetative irrigation to grow a rich wheat harvest. They are also engaged in cultivating arable lands for next year’s cotton harvest and preparing agricultural equipment and machinery.
The President was informed about the ongoing measures to improve the condition of agricultural soils and irrigate farmlands. Irrigation canals and drainage networks in the regions of the country are being cleaned.
The President instructed Atahalliyev to oversee compliance of seasonal agricultural works with schedule and agrotechnical standards.
