The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Hududgaztaminot JSC reported that natural gas consumption in the country increased with the onset of winter, which led to a significant decrease in gas pressure. The organisations are taking measures to shorten the operating hours of methane gas stations to ensure uninterrupted natural gas supply to households, the press office of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reports on the Telegram channel.
Gas pressure is to continue decreasing between December 7 and 16 due to the expected drop in air temperature to -16°C. In this regard, the Government of Uzbekistan imposed a temporary restriction on the operation of methane gas stations, in accordance with which gas stations will operate from 6:00 to 15:00.
«We ask consumers to be careful until the situation stabilizes and apologize for the inconvenience caused,» the press office of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, headed by Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov, states on its official Telegram channel.
